Erikk is an Education Content Manager at Common Sense Education with the Digital Citizenship Team. Prior to Common Sense, Erikk was a classroom educator for almost a decade – teaching middle school, high school, and first-year college students. Erikk loves using his creativity to design curriculum that engages students and families in healthy conversations around the intersection of media and social emotional learning. Erikk holds a B.A. from Baylor in Sociology and a M.A. in Rhetoric from UTEP with a focus on games and learning. He has been a speaker at Microsoft’s Hack the Classroom on remixing, a panelist discussing collaboration at the Northwest Council for Computer Education, and a teacher-scholar for the National Endowment for the Humanities. Erikk enjoys making time-lapse and drone videos; watching film trilogies (especially ones about apes, hobbits, and cornettos); and spending time with his partner, their Great Dane, and their son.
